Facilities Coordinator - Salem Acres Bible Camp, Elnora, AB

Facilities Coordinator - Salem Acres Bible Camp, Elnora, AB (Posted: 11/29/17; Closing: When filled)

Fulltime/Permanent (flexible)

Salem Acres Bible Camp is looking for a mature person to live on or near our site in central Alberta and join our ministry team as the Facilities Coordinator. Working closely with the Executive Director, this person will manage all maintenance, volunteer work bees, and set out safety standards for everyone at camp. This person will also play a key role in capital projects and future facilities development.

We are looking for a team player who knows the value of Bible Camp in the Kingdom of God, is self-motivated, organized, and energetic. We need a person who is skilled at facility and vehicle maintenance, and can help us develop maintenance schedules and standards. Additionally, this is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys giving spiritual mentorship to staff, youth and volunteers.

The successful applicant would sign our statement of faith without hesitation, and provide a current Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check. This is a new position developed because we are growing, and have to add more manpower! In addition to someone who has experience in facilities management, this would be a great position for a semi or almost-retired tradesperson or "jack-of-all-trades" who would like to spend some of their time and talent in a ministry where lives are changed for Christ.

Salary includes on site housing, utilities, and meals when there are groups on site.

Salem Acres' goal is for everyone who engages with us to Encounter Jesus - Experience Transformation - and Engage Others. Located on over 300 acres overlooking the beautiful Red Deer River, we offer summer camps to kids aged 7-18, and retreats to groups looking to get out of the city and enjoy the wonderful world God has created for us. Please check us out at salemacres.ca.
