BLUE BRONNA WILDERNESS CAMP
The purpose of Blue Bronna Wilderness Camp (BBWC) is to introduce adults and young people to the good news of Jesus Christ through a wilderness camping experience, and to provide an opportunity to develop Christian character and growth in faith through outdoor adventures, relationships, and time spent in God's Word and His creation.
We are located 90 minutes southwest of Calgary, AB up against the Rocky Mountains.

RESPONSIBLE TO: Camp Director

PURPOSE:
• To use the horses at Blue Bronna Wilderness Camp to take campers one
step further in their faith journey and one step further in their wilderness experience.
• To engage campers about their faith journey and share the gospel with them.

GENERAL DUTIES:

1. HORSE AREA
A) Responsible for the management, training and mentoring of summer Head Wrangler and volunteers, providing a listening ear and guidance.
B) To oversee the maintenance of the horse area, facilities, trails, and fencing.
C) To oversee the horse program
D) Responsible for the care, feeding of the horses
E) Responsible for the upkeep and purchase of tack
F) Purchase horses as well as finds and approves appropriate loan horses.
G) Together with the Director, helps to recruit summer wranglers and decide on which summer staff work in which program.

QUALIFICATIONS
Summer Camp Experience would be helpful.
Love for God and His Word
An experienced rider with a love for horses, for riding, for the outdoors and a sense of adventure.
Knowledgeable about herd management.
The ability to bring calmness to horses, to riders, to staff and those around the barn area.

Salary plus housing, utilities and benefits
Housing is available year-round at the camp.

Start date: Spring 2023
Full time from April to October and ½ time November to March where the person would need to have outside work or promote winter riding to bring in income to pay the rest of the salary.
