Joy Bible Camp is seeking a Camp Registrar to become a part of our team!

The Camp Registrar will manage the registration office while overseeing all registrations and bookings for JOY. This position will be the primary contact for the camp, providing a warm & friendly experience for guests, giving campers and their families an incredible experience throughout their entire interaction with our organization. The Registrar will report to the General Director, and assist the Finance Director, and oversee a summer administration team.

Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience,
  • excellent verbal & written communication skills,
  • computer skills & understanding of Google Workspace,
  • basic understanding of preparing invoices and processing payments,
  • a friendly demeanor,
  • transportation to the camp,
  • provide a clear police record check

Major responsibilities be they supervision/planning or everyday duties to be fulfilled
Including but not limited to the following responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for the camp, daily answering phones and emails, answering guest questions and providing a positive customer experience
  • Oversee all aspects of camp registration includes setting up & maintaining online registration in Campwise software, responding to enquiries, arranging for camp buses, communicating with guests during the booking process, coordinating payment info with accounting office and following up on payments, facilitating camper sponsorships, preparing reports for the Board of Directors
  • Arrange retreat bookings includes responding to enquiries, preparing contracts and providing information to groups, communicating group's needs to appropriate staff, preparing invoices, and assisting with recruiting new retreat business
  • Coordinate with other departments to create & send out letters & information for promotion, camper communications, customer service surveys, donation letters - specifically responsible for maintenance of all mailing lists
  • Supporting guest services staff includes providing information regarding bookings, coordinating staff schedules, seasonally working occasional evening & weekend shifts
  • Oversee & organize office supplies, managing inventory, ordering supplies as requested
  • Preparing financial deposits, processing payments, and operating the Point of Sale system
  • Assisting with the camp social media accounts & other forms of visual communication
  • Managing the organization and daily tasks of the registration office and as requested by the General Director
  • Seasonal oversight of a junior staff team, supporting department training and assigning tasks to employees

Full-time year-round position
Salaried position, 40 hours per week
