We accomplish this through our multifaceted ministry comprised of our camping ministry, Conference & Retreat Center, Therapeutic Riding Programs, and community outreach events. Strategy & Vision: You will play an important role in the development of the overall strategy & vision of the ministry. Your role in the capital campaign and operational fund-raising activities will be key to helping Parkside realise its full potential of ministry expansion. You will be challenged to seek out strategic partners and grow the engagement of our current alumni base.

What you will do:
➢ As the Development & Communications Director, you will be responsible for spearheading the successful completion of a $4.5 million-dollar capital campaign for a new equestrian and therapeutic riding center by year end 2023
➢ Develop and implement an ongoing operational fundraising program that tastefully meets the needs of the organization in the amount of $200K annually
➢ Develop and execute a communication strategy for existing and new donors
➢ Help promote the vision and passion of the organization
➢ Participate in the selection and implementation of an appropriate CMS system.

Who you are:
➢ You have at least 5 years’ experience in fundraising; experience with nonprofit organizations is an asset
➢ You have experience in sales & marketing
➢ You are able to build relationships with donors
➢ You have the ability to maintain confidentiality
➢ Your critical thinking skills help inform your decision making
➢ You are a self-starter and work well in an environment having a high level of autonomy
➢ You demonstrate good interpersonal and networking skills
➢ You work well with others
➢ You are flexible, diplomatic, and tactful
➢ You are in support with the values & beliefs of Parkside Ranch generally and the fundraising philosophy from the book, “The Giver and the Gift”, (recommended reading).
