A great opportunity has come up for a couple to join the Eagles Nest Ranch “family” as Facility Operations Manager. Eagles Nest Ranch is situated in the beautiful Cypress Hills of Southern Alberta, and it is just waiting for the right couple to place their mark on establishing a place that would allow people of all walks of life to enjoy the beauty of God’s property. Eagles Nest Ranch features excellent facilities for events and retreats, awesome
activities and outdoor adventures. The right couple will have a love and passion for stewarding the land, for nurturing the Presence of God and a love for the outdoors as they will be living on location at The Ranch and be willing to give a minimum of two years commitment. They will give leadership to the day-to-day facility operations, representing a variety of work skills necessary in maintaining the development of Eagles Nest Ranch.

Responsibilities including:
The Eagles Nest Ranch Facility Operations Managers will be responsible to:

  • Protect staff/volunteers and Eagles Nest Ranch. Make sure there is someone responsible for the safety of Eagles Nest Ranch at all times including evenings and weekends.
  • Direct the facility staff/volunteers in setting the spiritual tone at Eagles Nest Ranch and by providing the guidance, counseling, discipling and discipline required.
  • Work together with the Year Round Staff
  • Initiate and assist with facility and maintenance training and guidance of staff
  • Help develop policies around roles of seasonal maintenance staff
  • Oversee building maintenance, which comprises all preventative, remedial and upgrade, works required for the upkeep and improvement of buildings & their components. This work will include disciplines such as painting and decorating, carpentry, plumbing, glazing, plastering, and tiling.
  • Manage projects: initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the work of the team to achieve specific goals. Match Eagles Nest Ranch volunteer builders with their skill set to outstanding projects. (Coordinate Job descriptions) Assist in planning and recruiting for future projects. Make sure to have building materials ready for a project before volunteer workers arrive. Coordinate work schedules daily.
  • Be responsible for the implementing of the policies set by the Eagles Nest Ranch board.
  • Establishing current and long-range Facility and maintenance objectives, plans and policies.
  • Uphold, model and insist upon Christian character.
  • Lead Facility management meetings.
  • Mentorship (including accountability) and start each day with a time of prayer together as a team.
